Optimizing Your Splash Page
Your splash page is were you give some information on the freebie you’re giving away, and were you collect your prospects information. The splash page should be optimized as this system will generate a lot of back links from all the sites you submit to. Some of the freebie sites require a link back to them in order for you to post your freebie with them. This back-link to them could also be right on your splash page, because those sites send you traffic back based on how much traffic they receive from you. The On-site optimizing of the web page is really important as well, because of the long term affects from all the back-links your splash page will have. high enough.
If you follow what this e-book tells you, it will put your page in the top ten listings of Google for your keyword term. This e-book really is loaded with good information and I personally don’t understand why the author is giving this information away. But regardless, not optimizing your splash page could be costing you a potential gold mine. This method will eventually lead to your page to gathering a lot of natural search engine traffic. You want to have a few good paragraphs of text on your page with your keywords and phrases through out the text. There is no such thing as to much content.
As well you might want to monetize your splash page, as you will receive a considerable amount of traffic from this system. You could use Adsense ads or a related pay per lead product or service to complement what you’re giving away. As you might have notice, this is not your conventional way of designing a splash page. But then the methods of generating traffic and leads to the splash page are unconventional as well.
Finding A Freebie To Offer
The first thing you have to do is decide on what you would giveaway to your potential subscribers as a gift, or incentive to sign up to your mailing list. This first method is a bit costly but offers you some long term benefits as well as branding. If you’re looking to possibly brand your site or product you might want to select a freebie like pens or fridge magnets. Anything that is cheap and small that isn’t going to cost you a small fortune to send or mail. You can get pens and other promotional items on eBay and other places. By getting items that will allow you to make your own label to insert into the pens or fridge magnets or what ever product you use. This gives you a chance to circulate your brand name as well as your URL. Such items are great because of there viral nature of being used and seen by so many people.
The other method which is a bit easier on the pocket book and cost you nothing, in fact you can actually make money while building your list. This involves finding freebies on affiliate networks like Clicksglore.com or linkshare.com. For those of you not familiar with these types of sites they are services that bring advertisers and affiliates together. These companies manage an interface for both parties to form agreements. Were affiliates can promote various products for the advertisers that are looking for affiliates. Companies like Clicksglore.com, linkshare.com act as a middle man so to speak.
A lot of advertisers in these networks are looking to have people try a sample of there products or service, and will pay you as an affiliate as much as $2 just for a lead to there free product or service. This means that you get paid for each person you send to the advertiser’s site that fills out a form. There is no cost to the subscriber to try something that they were interested in the first place. So these people will be more inclined to signup were there is no cost involved to them. For example you might find an advertiser that is looking for signups for his free survey site. The people that join this site get paid to do surveys, and you get paid a $2 commission for referring them. ClixGalore have a fair amount of advertisers that offer pay per lead. There are a lot of these types of sites that offer affiliate marketers a wide selection of pay per lead offers to choose from.
When you find a pay per lead offer that gives a free trial sample or service to there lead’s. You can turn this into a freebie by having the theme of your splash page centered to this service or product, informing your visitors of all the benefits of this opportunity. Offering your visitors access to this free service or product after they have confirmed there subscription to your mailing list. After confirming there subscription your subscribers are sent to the confirmation page, which will be set to the URL of the signup page for the survey site. The confirmation page is the URL of the link in the email sent by the autoresponder to confirm the person subscription. So now not only do you have a new subscriber, but also a $2 commission for the lead you generated, if they continue to fill out the second form on the page of the survey site. The only downside to this type of freebie is that the prospect has to go though two signup processes’, your information collection and the signup page for the free offer itself.
A great way to monetize this kind of list would be to setup your autoresponder to send bimonthly mailings to your subscribers, with similar free offerings and you get paid for the leads. This kind of list will be very responsive to these offers.
FINDING FORUMS TO POST
This is the most important of the whole system, this is were
you will post your freebies in the thousands of different
forums devoted to finding freebies.
1
Now you might be wondering how you find all these forums
and sites that let you post your freebie. Here’s one little trick
I use, go to Google search type free stuff forums in the
search box.
I got 18,000,000 results from that one alone. Some other
things you could put in the search box are freebie forums. I
think you get the idea.
As well as the forums there are other non forum sites that
are looking for freebie submissions. Some search
suggestions you could use might be submit free stuff, submit
freebies, add freebie.
Just let your imagination run a little bit and you will come up
with millions of sites you can post to. Not only are you
getting of traffic from theses sites, but also a one way link
coming from large amounts of high page ranking sites.

Here’s a few little guerrilla tactics you can use in forums
were you are not allowed to post your freebie.
· When you signup up for the forum use keywords for
your freebie as your user name.
· When setting up your profile in the forums use a little gif
of your freebie for your picture and avatar.
· For your hyper text in your signature use keywords
related to your splash-page content. Also make the
URL of the signature the URL for the splash page were
your signup form is.
· Any post or threads should have your keywords in the
title.
· If you are not allowed to post your freebie on the forum
then post a comment in one of the Sticky post at the top
of the board, preferably one that has a lot of views. The
comment could be something nice about what ever the
moderator posted in there. If they were posting there
freebie in the sticky, you could say something positive
about the offer to reinforce the moderators post. Not all
forums will let you ad to a sticky post, this depends on
the forum. Of course when posting in those sticky’s do
all the above tactics.
· When doing the keywords in your user name and post
titles, don’t over stuff things, as some of those Mods are
a pretty savvy bunch.

A LITTLE BIT OF SEO
What you should do is only post on the sites that have a
good Google page rank. Or have a low Alexa rating. This
way you ether get a high ranking one-way link going to your
splash-page or you get a link from a site that has a huge
volume of traffic, in which you will benefit from as well.
When posting your freebies on the forums make sure to use
the URL of a second offer you might be promoting in your
forum signature. As well use your alias name and email
when posting in the forums, were most forums don’t want
self promotion.
Also in the title of your thread try to work in the keyword
terms and phrases for your splash-page, placing keywords in
the title in such a ways to still give a good description of the
freebie your offering. These threads will get crawled by the
search engine spiders and the title of the thread is the part
the spiders will see and use.
To see how well the sites you’re submitting to rank with
Alexs, you can download
Alexa toolbar that will integratewith your browser, it has a little utility that gives you an idea
of a sites ranking.
Also there is a little SEO advantage to running this toolbar
on your browser, each time you visit your own website Alexa
counts that as a visitor to your site. They don’t know that it’s
your site. A lot of how Google base there page ranks is
related to how well a site ranks on Alexa.

Some of you might think this SEO stuff isn’t necessary and
they would be right this system will do a good job of building
your list without any of the SEO stuff. But there are much
more long term effects to be gained from this little extra
work.
You would be leaving a lot of money on the table by not
taking advantage of all the high ranking back-links you would
be creating after submitting to all those sites.
SUMMERY OF STEPS
1. Setup an autoresponder and make your form for your
splash page
2. Setup and perform optimization of your splash page,
your landing page from the form, the confirmation for
the link in the confirmation email.
3. Find freebie to offer in on splash-page. Ether an item
you purchase or a free service that you can offer them,
preferably one that pays you per lead.
4. Find and post to high page ranking forums or to high
traffic forums. Also do the same for freebie sites.
5. Do your off site optimization on all sites were you can
post your freebie. What is meant by offsite optimization
are the forum guerrilla tactics I mentioned above.
In closing I would like to say that if you use this system and
follow all that has been described, you will have a very fast
growing list in no time. It is my sincere hope that this report
is of some value to you and that you have as great a
success as I have had from this system.

In this report I have tried to be as concise and articulate as I
could be, but sometimes I might have jumped over
something that was not explained out enough.
